MARRIAGE MENTORING

Marriage mentoring is the partnering of a ‘seasoned’ mentoring couple with a mentee couple to explore the Biblical aspects of marriage. 

Biblical mentoring is not professional counseling.  The mentoring couple will walk with the mentee couple for a defined period of time to pursue Biblical truth, Holy Spirit fullness, and accountable health.  God designed marriage to be a fulfilling and joy-filled covenant relationship, completed through love.  Love (agape) is the sacrificial giving of ourselves to another. 

The Bible says in Genesis 2:24, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”  NKJV  Although many close and wonderful relationships are described in Scripture, such as between David and Jonathan, we can experience only two truly covenant relationships in this life.  Both are based on God’s Word and rooted in His character.  The first and foremost is our covenant relationship with God.  The second is the marriage of a man and a woman.
