Alpha is a 10-week time of discovery, held each year in the winter and spring. We will discuss important questions in a safe and friendly environment. Questions such as:
What happens to us when we die? Why do bad things happen to good people and vice versa? What is the point of life? Who is Jesus? Does Jesus have relevance in our lives today? Does God heal today? |

Here's some photos from a recent Alpha class. These folks look like they're having fun!
They all look like they're having fun but the guy standing in the river. That water is cold!
Everyone is welcome at Alpha and people attend for a wide variety of reasons. Some want to investigate God's existence and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church on and off all their lives but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. People come from many different backgrounds - but all with the same objective: to establish whether Jesus Christ has any relevance for their lives. Alpha consists of 10 weekly evening meetings and one weekend retreat. Meetings start with a light meal (provided by East Valley Foursquare Church at no charge), followed by a brief lesson and 45 minutes of small group discussion. The sessions begin at 6:30 and conclude at 8:30. Children's and youth ministries run simultaneously. For more information, please call our church office at 227-5201.
