Our purpose at East Valley Foursquare Church is: To Know and Love God, To Love and Serve People.
Everything that we do is with this purpose in mind. Our goal is to connect people with Jesus and the EVFC family, that each one may become a fully engaged, Spirit-filled disciple of Jesus - healed and whole, participating in God's plans and purposes.
We do that through a community of relationships that promotes the value of each individual as a unique contributor to the Body - inviting, encouraging, and equipping each one to serve and grow in a place that brings them joy while moving closer to Jesus.
There are many ways for you to get Connected to the Body.
Connections Ministries
These ministries offer everyone an opportunity to jump in and serve while building relationships with fellow team members. We provide all the training you'll need to succeed, have fun, and discover more about yourself. These ministry teams include: Parking Lot, Greeting, Information Desk, Ushers, Welcome Team, Helping Hands, and Second Touch. All of these teams are focused on creating a friendly, warm atmosphere for everyone to enjoy and experience God's love in action.
Worship Ministry
If you are a worshipper first and then a musician and/or vocalist, there's always a team to join. We have weekend teams, mid-week teams, small group opportunities, as well as youth teams. Membership and an audition are required for involvement in this ministry.
Audio-Visual Ministry
Staying on top of the technical aspects of things takes highly organized teamwork. If you're a "techie," love working with computers, have an ear for sound, or love light shows, this may be the sweet spot of service for you.
We love and value children and have many ways to serve them! We determine to provide the highest quality program possible in ways that make the love of Jesus real to kids of all ages. We don't believe in just babysitting, but take seriously our charge to teach the children in our care about the God who loves them - even our babies! Due to our commitment to safety, all who serve our children must be committed members of our church, undergo thorough training and be screened through a nation-wide criminal background check.
Definitely not the same as children’s ministry! If you want to be involved in discipling and mentoring youth, there’s a place for you in: No Limits (Middle School); EX-change (Senior High); The Gathering (Wednesday High School); or Life Hurts, God Heals (Celebrate Recovery Youth - Friday nights).
